This is an illustration that I just made to celebrate the coming of mid-semester break at university.
Her face was modeled after mine. I used a lava lamp as reference for the lantern. Originally I wanted to use a dark background, but the combination of that + my face made it look like something out of a horror movie..
Done in Photoshop in about 10 hours over a period of 3 days.
